Pokémon GO players are spending this week in a mashup of Sustainability Week tasks and returning Max Battles before the calendar flips again on April 26. (pokemongohub.net) The current in-game week runs from Sunday, April 20, to Sunday, April 26, with Dynamax Regirock in Max Battles through the end of the week and Tapu Koko in five-star raids from April 22 to April 28. Mega Sharpedo is the Mega Raid boss during the same April 22 to April 28 window. (pokemongohub.net) This week sits inside Pokémon GO’s “Memories in Motion” season, which runs from March 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time to June 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time. Niantic says the season shifted the game to a more regular event schedule, moved weekend events to Saturdays, and started replacing some paid tickets with event GO Passes. (pokemongo.com) The season also added “Daily Discoveries,” a day-by-day rotation of activities meant to give players a specific reason to log in each week. Niantic says an in-game event calendar will arrive later in the season with current schedule information. (pokemongo.com) April has been one of the busier months in that rollout. Pokémon GO Hub’s April calendar lists Sustainability Week from April 14 to April 20, Riolu Hatch Day on April 18, Replay: GO Bigger on April 25, and the Steeled Resolve event starting April 28. (pokemongohub.net) GameSpot’s April event guide says Sustainability Week brought the debut of Silicobra and shiny Toedscool, while April’s raid rotation also returned Kyogre, Groudon, Tapu Koko, and Tapu Lele across different weeks. The same guide lists Dynamax Trapinch, Dynamax Drilbur, Dynamax Regirock, and Dynamax Shuckle as April’s rotating Max Battle bosses. (gamespot.com) Gigantamax and Dynamax battles are the big mechanical shift behind this week’s activity. Niantic previously said Gigantamax bosses are built for large groups, with reports indicating about 10 to 40 Trainers may be needed for some of the toughest Power Spot fights. (pokemongolive.com) That group-play focus is not new for Pokémon GO, but Niantic has spent the past few years pushing players back toward in-person raiding. In a 2022 update, the company said it was adding new social features and local raid bonuses to bring people together in person. (pokemongolive.com) The practical effect this week is simple: players checking in before Sunday night are catching the tail end of one event, the middle of another raid rotation, and a setup for Saturday’s Replay: GO Bigger Max Battle Day. After that, the April schedule moves straight into Steeled Resolve on April 28. (pokemongohub.net)
