Mt. Rainier Skyline Loop Called Best Trail

The Skyline Loop Trail at Paradise in Mt. Rainier National Park is being called one of the best trails ever by hikers sharing standout routes for challenge and views. In Utah, locals are recommending Uintas trails including Lofty Loop, Bourbon Lake, and Highline for rewarding hikes. A hiker completed a challenging 6km hill hike near Crooked River in Clarendon, Jamaica, ending dehydrated but accomplished after breaks and cashews from a fellow hiker.

- The Skyline Loop Trail is a 5.5-mile loop with an elevation gain of about 1,700 feet, located in the Paradise area of Mt. Rainier National Park. Its peak hiking season is typically short, running from mid-July through September, as snow can linger on the trail well into the summer. - A key landmark on the Skyline Loop is Panorama Point, which sits at an elevation just under 7,000 feet and offers views of the Paradise valley and Nisqually Glacier. This is also a point where many climbers diverge to continue towards Camp Muir, a base camp for summit attempts. - In Utah's Uinta Mountains, the Lofty Lake Loop is a moderate 4-mile hike that stays above 10,000 feet in elevation, passing several alpine lakes including Kamas and Scout Lake. - The Bourbon Lake trail, officially the Whiskey Creek Trail, is a shorter but steep hike of about 2.8 miles round trip with an elevation gain of around 680 feet. The lake is named for the deep amber color it reflects from the surrounding cliffs. - For a much greater challenge in the Uintas, the Highline Trail is a 104-mile trek that traverses the entire east-west length of the mountain range, typically taking thru-hikers between 4 and 10 days to complete. - The parish of Clarendon, Jamaica, is home to the Bull Head Mountains, which contains the geographical center of the island. The Rio Minho, Jamaica's longest river, originates in this mountain range. - An annual 10km "Forest Trek" event is held by Jamaica's Forestry Department in the Bull Head Forest Reserve to commemorate the International Day of Forests.
