Rello Launches Creatine-Infused Protein Snacks
Wellness brand Rello has launched a line of protein bars and shakes featuring a patented water-soluble creatine. Following a national test, the products are now rolling out through key retail partners. The line targets fitness and wellness consumers looking for functional foods that support muscle recovery and hydration.
Rello is co-founded by professional baseball player Brett Sullivan of the Colorado Rockies and his brother Tyler, a former professional baseball player with CPG operational experience. The brand is backed by other professional athletes as well, including MLB players Jake Cronenworth, Rich Hill, and Adam Frazier, and NFL wide receiver Brandin Cooks. The brand's key innovation is the use of a patented, water-soluble creatine that remains stable in liquid for up to 12 months. This addresses a long-standing issue in the beverage industry where creatine would degrade in ready-to-drink formats, limiting its use in convenient, on-the-go products. Following a successful test, Rello's protein bars are now launching nationwide in all Sprouts Farmers Market locations. The company plans to expand its distribution to Amazon and its own direct-to-consumer website in March 2026, with its ready-to-drink shakes scheduled for a Q2 2026 release. Rello enters a rapidly growing market where creatine is moving beyond dedicated athletes and into mainstream wellness products. The global creatine market is projected to reach over $4 billion by 2030 as consumer interest expands to include benefits for cognitive health and general well-being. This launch into functional snacks places Rello in an innovative but increasingly competitive space. For instance, the brand Create Wellness has successfully introduced creatine-infused gummies, now sold nationwide at major retailers like Target and Walmart, signaling a clear move toward more convenient and accessible formats beyond traditional powders.
