Allica posts double‑digit growth

Allica Bank reported double‑digit growth in revenue, profit, lending and deposits for FY25, showing select banks can still expand despite a cautious lending backdrop. The result is a datapoint that growth remains attainable for lenders with a focused SME model. (internationalaccountingbulletin.com)

Allica Bank said revenue, profit, lending and deposits all rose in 2025, extending the United Kingdom lender’s run of growth in small-business banking. (allica.bank, internationalaccountingbulletin.com) Gross revenue reached £371.3 million in fiscal year 2025, up 27% from £293.1 million in 2024. Gross profit after risk rose 32% to £145.3 million, and underlying pre-tax profit increased 34% to £43.7 million. (internationalaccountingbulletin.com, finance.yahoo.com) The loan book ended 2025 at £3.7 billion, up 23% from £3 billion a year earlier, while customer deposits climbed 29% to £5.7 billion from £4.4 billion. Active Business Rewards Account customers rose to more than 14,000 from more than 6,000 in 2024. (internationalaccountingbulletin.com, bridgingsoup.co.uk) Allica is a digital bank built for established small and medium-sized enterprises in the UK, with lending, current accounts, savings and relationship managers aimed at firms beyond the startup stage. Its website says more than 30,000 businesses now bank with it. (allica.bank) Those figures land as UK small-business lending remains constrained. In an April 2025 report, Allica said the UK had a gap of as much as £65 billion in SME credit versus trend, with overdrafts down to 5% of bank finance and many firms choosing slower growth over borrowing. (allica.bank) Chief executive Richard Davies said 2025 was Allica’s “strongest year yet” and said demand for its full-service SME model had more than doubled as more customers made Allica their primary bank. The bank said 2025 was its third consecutive year of profitability. (internationalaccountingbulletin.com) Allica also said it accelerated work on an artificial-intelligence-enabled technology platform in 2025. The bank said it is deploying AI agents to support lending decisions, speed operations and give relationship managers more customer data in each interaction. (internationalaccountingbulletin.com) The comparison with 2024 shows growth is slowing from a higher base, not reversing. In 2024, Allica reported gross revenue of £292.1 million, profit before tax of £29.9 million and loans above £3 billion after a year of 68% revenue growth and 54% loan growth. (allica.bank, accountingweb.co.uk) For now, the latest results show one UK challenger bank still adding loans, deposits and primary-account customers at scale while much of the SME finance market remains cautious.
