California High-Speed Rail CEO Arrested

The project is slated to receive $1 billion annually from the cap-and-trade program through 2045. - The California High-Speed Rail Authority is overseen by an 11-member board of directors, with members appointed by the Governor and the Legislature. - The project has faced numerous delays and controversies since its inception, including disputes over land acquisition and criticism for starting construction before key details were finalized.
