Warframe Gets Photoshop Powers

Warframe's March update introduces Follie, a character with in-game image manipulation abilities that developers describe as "Photoshop"-like powers. Digital Extremes is cautioning players about potential "horrible consequences" if Follie's abilities are abused — dropping March 25 alongside the game's 13th anniversary and Nintendo Switch 2 launch.

The March 25 update is titled "The Shadowgrapher" and will introduce a new horror-themed game mode called "Follie's Hunt" to unlock the 64th Warframe. Set on the destroyed Vesper Relay, the mode will feature an invulnerable Follie stalking players as they search for paintings and ink. Follie's "Photoshop" power is her second ability, allowing her to summon objects from a "Sketchbook." These summons can include anything from Orokin death orbs and explosive barrels to mission-assisting items like life support capsules or conduit keys for Disruption missions. Her other abilities include a teleport that leaves behind a pool of ink, the creation of a clone that grants up to 90% damage resistance, and an ultimate that lifts enemies into the air with balloons, making them vulnerable to fall damage. Follie's signature weapon is a critical-based beam rifle named Enkaus. The game's 13th-anniversary celebration will run from March 13 to May 8. The event will bring back all previous anniversary Dex items through weekly alerts and introduce a new cosmetic, the Lotus-themed Dex Signa. For the Nintendo Switch 2 launch, Warframe will run at 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second in both docked and handheld modes, utilizing DLSS upscaling. The new version also promises faster load times, improved textures, and support for mouse-style aiming with the right Joy-Con 2. Nintendo Switch 2 players who log in between March 25 and April 15 will receive a free Ambimanus Pack. This bundle includes the Vericres warfan weapon, a weapon skin, a stance mod, and several boosters. The Shadowgrapher update also adds mecha-styled deluxe skins for the Warframes Gauss and Grendel. Additionally, the patch will introduce a secret, high-difficulty mode called "The Guilty," which the community will have to discover how to unlock.
