Pokémon GO is bringing back its biggest Kanto Gigantamax bosses for a three-hour local event on Saturday, April 25. (pokemongohub.net) Gigantamax Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, and Gengar are the featured raid bosses in Replay: GO Bigger, which runs from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. The event is built around Gigantamax Battles at Power Spots rather than standard wild spawns. (pokemongohub.net) Niantic is stacking the event with resource bonuses: the Max Particle collection cap rises to 1,600, Power Spots refresh more often, and players can get 8× Max Particles from Power Spots. Additional Power Spots will also be active during the event window. (pokemongohub.net; gonintendo.com) The event also stretches some bonuses beyond the main three hours. From April 24 at 5:00 p.m. to April 25 at 8:00 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time, the daily Remote Raid limit increases from 10 to 20, and players can make up to three Special Trades for the day. (pokemongohub.net; gonintendo.com) Gigantamax Battles are Pokémon GO’s large-group version of Max Battles, and Niantic has previously described them as encounters that appear to require many trainers working together. That design makes this one of the game’s most coordination-heavy event formats, especially for players outside dense city communities. (pokemongolive.com; pokemongohub.net) Replay: GO Bigger is also a make-good style event: it returns bosses that were already introduced, instead of debuting new forms. That gives players another shot at filling out Gigantamax entries and farming battle resources before the month ends. (pokemongohub.net; pokemongohub.net) There is also a paid add-on. A US$4.99 ticket unlocks event-exclusive Timed Research with 1 Max Mushroom, 25,000 experience points, 6,400 Max Particles, and a 2× experience bonus from Max Battles during the event hours. (pokemongohub.net) Players who want to maximize the day have incentives to start early. Separate bonuses run from 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time on April 25, including 2× Max Particles from exploring and one-quarter adventuring distance to receive Max Particles. (gonintendo.com) For Pokémon GO’s weekend planners, the pitch is simple: show up with a group, stockpile Max Particles, and use the three-hour window to cycle through as many Gigantamax raids as your local map can support.
