Fremont Restaurant Week Kicks Off
Fremont Restaurant Week is now underway, offering special deals at 70 participating local eateries. The event is designed to showcase the city's diverse food scene and encourage residents to dine out.
This marks the fourth annual Fremont Restaurant Week, running from March 6th to March 15th. The event has grown considerably since its inception, which was designed to boost local eateries following the pandemic. The first event in 2023 saw 40 restaurants participate, exceeding the initial goal of 20. The number of participating establishments has steadily increased, with 62 in the third installment and now 70 for the current event. A survey after the second event found that a majority of restaurants saw at least a 25% increase in revenue. Additionally, 92% reported gaining new customers, and 75% experienced increased foot traffic. This year's event is a partnership between the City of Fremont's Economic Development Department, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, and Yelp Bay Area. The collaboration aims to highlight the diverse culinary scene in Fremont and provide a boost to small businesses. Diners can expect a wide variety of deals, including prix fixe menus, special combos, and limited-time dishes. Examples of offerings include a three-course dinner at Federico's Grill for $35, tandoori chicken with chickpea curry and naan for $16.99 at Bismallah, and a special Grilled Cheese Cattle Smash Burger at Billy Roy's Burger Co. for $17. A "restaurant passport" is available for diners to collect stamps from participating locations. Last year, over 3,000 completed passports were submitted for a raffle, indicating strong community engagement with the event. In a new development for 2026, DoorDash is partnering with the City of Fremont to introduce "Dot," an autonomous delivery device. The robot will make its first delivery at the Restaurant Week kickoff event, highlighting Fremont's connection to the tech and robotics industries.
