Kim Gordon Solo Album Incoming
Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon, 72, will drop her new solo album, *Play Me*, on March 13, 2026 Interview with rock icon Kim Gordon. She's still pushing creative boundaries.
*Play Me* features 10 tracks and includes collaborations with artists like guitarist Aaron Roche, composer and multi-instrumentalist Ryuichi Sakamoto, and drummer Stella Mozgawa. Gordon's approach to *Play Me* was improvisational, using open tunings and unconventional sounds, which reflects her experimental spirit. The album's release coincides with a book of essays Gordon has written, further showcasing her diverse creative output.
