Chris Brown Extends Chart Streak

Chris Brown's "It Depends" featuring Bryson Tiller re-entered the Billboard Hot 100 Top 30, extending his record 21+ years of annual hits as the top male R&B charting artist. The collaboration's chart resurgence underscores Brown's sustained commercial appeal. This achievement puts him in rare company for longevity in R&B.

The song "It Depends" was born from fan demand after Brown teased a clip on social media. The track, which samples Usher's 1998 hit "Nice & Slow," quickly climbed the charts following its release, eventually leading to a remix featuring Usher himself. This chart success is part of a larger, historic run for Chris Brown, who has landed a new song on the Billboard Hot 100 for 20 consecutive years. This makes him the first artist who debuted in the 21st century to achieve such a streak, joining a legendary list that includes Elvis Presley, Madonna, and Stevie Wonder. The re-entry of "It Depends" was fueled by the release of *11:11 (Deluxe)*, an expanded version of his eleventh studio album. The deluxe edition added 13 new tracks and featured a roster of collaborators including Lil Wayne, Mario, and Joyner Lucas, in addition to Bryson Tiller. Brown's longevity is not just about annual appearances; he is the first R&B artist in history to log over 100 entries on the Billboard Hot 100. This achievement places him in an elite group of artists across all genres with more than 100 charting songs. The collaboration with Bryson Tiller on "It Depends" is one of several for the duo. Tiller was also featured on Brown's 2022 Grammy-nominated album, *Breezy*. Looking ahead, Brown is scheduled to embark on the "Breezy Bowl XX Tour." This tour is set to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his debut self-titled album, which launched his career with the No. 1 hit "Run It!".
