Paris Baguette Opens New Richardson, TX Location
The global bakery café chain Paris Baguette has opened a new location in Richardson, Texas, as of February 27. The opening is part of the brand's rapid expansion in the U.S., adding to its more than 4,000 units worldwide.
The new Richardson location, situated at 7615 Campbell Rd., Suite 106, is the 25th Paris Baguette to open in Texas. It is operated by franchisees Sweta Goyal, Puneet Mittal, Mamta Singhal, and Rajneesh Singhal, two couples who have a five-unit development agreement with the company. This opening is part of an aggressive North American expansion strategy, with a goal of reaching 1,000 stores in the U.S. and Canada by 2030. In 2021 alone, the company saw a 44% spike in year-over-year sales in the U.S. To support this rapid growth, Paris Baguette has broken ground on its first North American manufacturing plant in Burleson, Texas. The over $200 million, 267,000-square-foot facility is expected to create around 450 full-time jobs and will supply doughs and pastries to cafes across the continent. Despite its French-inspired name, Paris Baguette was founded in South Korea in 1988 by businessman Hur Young-in. It is owned by the SPC Group, a South Korean food and confectionery conglomerate that started as a small bakery in 1945. The brand has grown into a global powerhouse with over 3,700 retail stores in South Korea and a significant presence in China and Southeast Asia. The company opened its first international store in Shanghai in 2004 and now operates in 14 international markets. Customers at the new Richardson location can expect a wide array of offerings, from fresh breads and pastries like croissants and cronuts to elaborate cakes, sandwiches, and coffee beverages. The menu features items with both classic French and Asian flavor influences, such as red bean-filled buns.
