ZTE Unveils 'Full-Stack' AI at MWC

ZTE's "All in AI, AI for All" strategy guides its presence at MWC Barcelona 2026, building on its upgraded "Connectivity + Computing" approach. The company is showcasing a comprehensive digital intelligence framework that spans from infrastructure to applications. This initiative reflects a broader industry trend of deep integration between AI and information and communication technology (ICT). The company is unveiling eight major breakthroughs, including the AIR MAX, a 10-block AI stack for mobile networks. Also featured is a GigaMIMO 6G prototype with over 2,000 antennas, which demonstrates a tenfold capacity increase over 5G-Advanced, and a 200G PON prototype for optical networks. For data centers, ZTE's Elastic AIDC solution claims to reduce construction time by 40% through its modular design. A key part of ZTE's strategy is the "AI Factory" full-stack solution, designed to address the massive computing power demands of large AI models. This approach emphasizes "compute-network co-design" and "software-hardware co-design" to improve computing density and energy efficiency. ZTE is also focusing on autonomous networks, aiming to achieve Level 4 (L4) autonomous operations to help operators reduce operational expenditures. On the consumer side, ZTE is integrating AI into its smart home and personal devices. The company, which ships over 100 million smart home units annually, is introducing a new architecture centered around connectivity, screens, and AI. Among the new products is the nubia M153 smartphone, which will feature a technical preview of ByteDance's Doubao AI assistant.
