Thomas Pannone throws perfect game

Thomas Pannone gave the Nashville Sounds a rare line in the record book on Monday, September 7, by throwing a perfect game against the Durham Bulls in Nashville. The left-hander retired all 27 batters he faced in a 3-0 win for Milwaukee's Triple-A affiliate, according to MiLB's official scoreboard and FOX coverage. (mlb.com) MiLB's game page marked the result as a perfect game, and Sportsnet, citing MLB Pipeline, said it was the first single-pitcher nine-inning perfect game in Minor League Baseball since 2017. (sportsnet.ca) The outing came in a late-season Triple-A game between Nashville and Durham. Pannone finished the complete game without allowing a hit or a walk, and Nashville did not commit an error behind him, the FOX report said. Durham starter Workman took the loss, and Nashville collected 9 hits in support. ### Who is Thomas Pannone at this point in his career? (fox11online.com) FOX Sports' player log shows Pannone also appeared in the majors for Milwaukee this season, including a July 29 outing at San Francisco. The perfect game added a notable entry to a career that has moved between the majors and Triple-A. Sportsnet, citing MLB Pipeline, said Pannone's start was the first perfect game by a single pitcher at the minor-league level since 2017. The same report said it was the fifth such performance in International League history, with that league dating to 1884. (fox11online.com) MiLB's official scoreboard underscored the rarity by labeling the final as a perfect game on the league results page. That notation appeared alongside Nashville's 3-0 victory over Durham. ### What did FOX and the club's game pages show? (sportsnet.ca) MLB on FOX posted on social media that Pannone had thrown a perfect game for the Nashville Sounds, identifying the club as the Brewers' Triple-A affiliate. A FOX television affiliate story repeated the result and said Pannone completed the game without allowing a baserunner. The Nashville Sounds' scores page links to the same official MiLB game results and box score infrastructure used across the league. (sportsnet.ca) That page showed the September 7 result as final and directed readers to the game details. ### What comes next for Nashville? (mlb.com) The Nashville Sounds remain in the Triple-A regular-season schedule, and the club's official site continues to post upcoming games, scores and roster updates. Pannone's next appearance would come as part of that rotation or bullpen usage, depending on club plans that had not been announced in the reports reviewed. Tuesday's follow-up for readers is straightforward: the official Nashville Sounds and MiLB scores pages are the primary places where the next box score, probable pitchers and any transaction involving Pannone would appear.
