The Steelers traded a 2026 sixth-round pick to the Colts for Pittman and a seventh-round pick. To finalize the deal, Pittman signed a three-year, $59 million contract extension with Pittsburgh. Indianapolis needed to move Pittman after signing Alec Pierce to a four-year, $116 million extension. The Colts also have Josh Downs and tight end Tyler Warren, making Pittman expendable. The Steelers now have Pittman, DK Metcalf, Ben Skowronek, and Roman Wilson as their active wide receivers. The team is still expected to add another receiver through free agency or the 2026 NFL Draft. In 2025, Metcalf had 59 receptions for 850 yards and 6 touchdowns. He was acquired by the Steelers in 2025 for a second-round pick.
