US death metal icons Monstrosity released "The Atrophied," a new track from their forthcoming album *Screams From Beneath The Surface* due next month. The band also announced a European headlining tour to coincide with the album's release.
- *Screams From Beneath The Surface* is the band's first new studio album in eight years, following 2018's *The Passage of Existence*. - The album was recorded at two well-known Florida studios: Audiohammer Studios with producer Jason Suecof and the legendary Morrisound Studios with Jim Morris. - The current lineup features a new vocalist, Ed Webb (formerly of the band Massacre), and the return of original bassist Mark Van Erp for the first time on a recording since 1992's *Imperial Doom*. - Drummer Lee Harrison is the only remaining founding member of the band, which formed in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 1990. - The band's original vocalist, from 1990 to 1996, was George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher, who left to join and front the band Cannibal Corpse. - The "Screams Across Europe Tour 2026" is scheduled to feature support from the bands Bio Cancer, Reject The Sickness, and Deadwood.
