Report: Gen Z Prefers Employers Who Embrace AI

A new report from ASUS finds that Gen Z workers are more likely to favor small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) that adopt AI tools and offer flexible workflows. The survey also revealed that 66% of SMB leaders believe AI will drive a significant evolution or generational shift in business practices. The findings suggest AI adoption is becoming a key factor in attracting young talent.

- A recent survey found that 93% of Gen Z employees use AI tools at work. - Many Gen Z workers use AI for core job functions, including brainstorming (74%), writing reports and emails (68%), and analyzing large datasets (61%). - This adoption is often self-initiated, with 70% of Gen Z employees teaching themselves how to use the AI tools they utilize for their jobs. - The integration of AI into daily workflows is substantial, as nearly 80% of Gen Z professionals report using AI for more than half of their work-related tasks. - Gen Z also leverages AI for career advancement, with 56% using it to craft resumes and cover letters, and 53% seeking its assistance for decisions such as salary negotiations. - Despite their high adoption rates, 47% of Gen Z and Millennial employees express concern that AI could eventually replace their jobs. - A significant generational disconnect is apparent, with 49% of Gen Z employees feeling that their bosses do not grasp the benefits of AI. - The preference for AI-driven support is so pronounced that 47% of Gen Z workers believe they receive better guidance from AI than from their managers.
