Harry Styles Drops Full Album
Harry Styles' complete album *Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally* dropped today featuring singles "American Girls" and "Dance No More." The New Music Friday roundup got 17k likes on Pop Base, alongside other major drops like Ty Dolla $ign's *Girl Music Vol. 1* EP and Bebe Rexha's "New Religion."
This new album follows Styles' critically and commercially successful third album, *Harry's House*, which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 with 521,500 album-equivalent units, the largest debut week of 2022. The lead single from that album, "As It Was," topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 15 weeks and was the best-selling global single of 2022. All three of Styles' previous solo albums have debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. His second album, 2019's *Fine Line*, is his best-selling to date, having sold over 5 million copies. That album included the single "Watermelon Sugar," which became his first US Hot 100 number-one hit and won a Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance. The new project marks a continued evolution in Styles' sound. His 2017 self-titled debut was noted for its classic rock influences, a departure from his work with One Direction. *Harry's House* was praised for its fusion of synth-pop, new wave, and pop-funk, earning a Metacritic score of 83/100 and the Grammy for Album of the Year. Early reviews for *Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally* are mixed but generally favorable, with a current Metacritic score of 78/100. Critics have pointed to its experimental sound, incorporating disco and art-pop influences. Publications like NME and The Independent have given the album 4 out of 5 stars, with the latter calling it "personal, bold and finally sounding like himself." However, others like The Guardian and The Telegraph awarded it 3 out of 5 stars, with The Telegraph suggesting it has "all the emotional heft of a perfume advert." Styles is set to support the album with a global "Together, Together" tour kicking off in May, which includes a dozen nights at London's Wembley Stadium.
