Infosys and Anthropic Partner on Enterprise AI

Infosys and AI safety and research company Anthropic announced a collaboration to deploy AI in regulated industries, beginning with telecommunications. The partnership will combine the Infosys Topaz platform with Anthropic's Claude AI models to automate complex workflows and accelerate software development, with plans to expand into financial services and manufacturing.

- A core focus of the collaboration is developing "agentic AI" systems, which can independently handle complex, multi-step tasks like processing insurance claims or managing compliance reviews, rather than just responding to prompts. - The partnership will launch with the creation of a dedicated Anthropic Center of Excellence focused on building and deploying AI agents specifically for the telecommunications industry's operational needs. - The Infosys Topaz platform brings a significant set of existing resources to the collaboration, including more than 12,000 AI assets and over 150 pre-trained AI models. - Anthropic's enterprise AI models are designed for high-stakes, regulated environments by providing strong security and a guarantee not to train on customer data, addressing a primary barrier to AI adoption. - Recently, Anthropic's Claude AI gained the ability to integrate directly with workplace tools such as Asana, Figma, and Slack, allowing it to operate within existing enterprise workflows. - The announcement was met with a positive market reaction, as Infosys shares saw an increase of up to 3% on the day the collaboration was made public.
