HONOR Pitches 'Augmented Human Intelligence'
At MWC 2026, HONOR's CEO James Li outlined a vision for AI focused on enhancing human potential, not replacing it. He presented the concept of "Augmented Human Intelligence" (AHI) as the company's strategic path forward for its AI device ecosystem.
The AHI strategy is part of HONOR's broader "ALPHA PLAN," a multi-year initiative to transition the company into a global AI device ecosystem leader. This plan is structured around three pillars: Alpha Phone, focusing on embodied AI devices; Alpha Store, an ecosystem for AI services; and Alpha Lab, for turning research into user experiences. The company aims to integrate over 20,000 AI services via its HONOR AI Connect Platform by the end of 2026. To demonstrate its AHI vision, HONOR previewed a "Robot Phone" concept, a device designed to integrate motion and spatial awareness. This phone features an industry-first three-axis gimbal camera system, allowing for physical interactions like tracking a user during a video call or expressive movements. The concept aims to move beyond static screens and voice commands by giving the device a physical presence. Alongside the futuristic concept, HONOR launched its new flagship foldable, the Magic V6. The device features a breakthrough silicon-carbon battery, enabling a large 6,660mAh capacity in an ultra-thin design. This new battery technology is designed to push foldables into the 7,000mAh era. The company also expanded its AI-powered product line with the MagicPad 4 tablet and the MagicBook Pro 14 laptop. These devices, along with the Magic V6 and the Robot Phone concept, are meant to showcase how HONOR is extending its Augmented Human Intelligence across both digital and physical experiences. The MagicPad 4, for instance, is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 mobile platform and features a 3K OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate.
