Bath & Body Works Faces Investor Lawsuit

Rosen Law Firm is reminding investors of an opportunity to lead a securities fraud lawsuit against Bath & Body Works, Inc. The suit pertains to securities purchased between June 2024 and November 2025.

The lawsuit alleges that Bath & Body Works made misleading statements about its growth strategy, particularly its expansion into new product categories known as "adjacencies," which included items for men, as well as lip, hair, and laundry products. The company is also accused of using brand collaborations to hide weak underlying financial performance. Investors who purchased stock between June 4, 2024, and November 19, 2025, are included in the class-action suit. The deadline for an investor to seek appointment as lead plaintiff in the case is March 16, 2026. The case is currently pending in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. The legal filings claim that the company's strategy was not successful in growing its customer base or achieving the touted sales growth. In fact, the focus on these new areas allegedly "reduced focus on investing in our core categories," according to the company's own later admission. On August 28, 2025, the company announced disappointing second-quarter financial results and lowered its full-year earnings guidance. This was followed by a more significant announcement on November 20, 2025, revealing a year-over-year revenue decline and a cut to its net sales guidance. Following the November 20, 2025 announcement, Bath & Body Works' stock price dropped significantly by $5.22 per share, a 24.8% decrease, to close at $15.82. The company also stated at this time that its strategy of pursuing "adjacencies, collaborations and promotions" had "not grown our total customer base." In response to these challenges, Bath & Body Works announced a "comprehensive transformation plan" and a new "Consumer First Formula" to revitalize its brand and focus on core products. The company also revealed plans to exit some of the adjacent product categories it had recently entered.
