Boomi adds data governance
Boomi expanded its enterprise platform with built-in data governance and AI workflow capabilities to improve lineage, integration and compliance for GenAI use-cases. Embedding governance into integration tooling is being pitched as a fast way to make cross-team AI deployments auditable and repeatable. (mychesco.com)
Boomi published the platform update on March 9, 2026 in a press release titled “Boomi Activates Data for the Enterprise.” (boomi.com) The announcement names a new capability called “Meta Hub,” described as a governed semantic source of truth that injects semantic context to ground AI agents in business-relevant data. (morningstar.com) Boomi’s Q1 2026 product roadmap labels the governance work “Intelligent Data Governance” and explicitly lists automated end-to-end data lineage and unified metadata tagging as core features. (boomi.com) Agent orchestration updates center on Boomi Agentstudio and Model Context Protocol (MCP) support, and Boomi states it has more than 2,000 customers using its AI agents as of recent marketing posts. (boomi.com) The release adds governed SAP data movement with real-time change-data-capture capabilities and introduces a dedicated European platform instance to provide localized data residency for GDPR-style controls. (morningstar.com) March platform enhancements also include Global Variables and long-term data retention for enterprise integrations, and Boomi announced a 2026 Gartner iPaaS placement as a Leader positioned highest for Ability to Execute.
