Paris Baguette Opens New Dallas-Area Café

The global bakery café chain Paris Baguette opened a new location in Richardson, Texas, on February 27. The opening is part of an ongoing U.S. expansion for the brand, which already operates over 4,000 units worldwide. The new café is located at Campbell Rd. and is run by a group of local franchisees.

A Deeper Look at Paris Baguette's Dallas-Area Expansion The new Richardson location is part of an aggressive North American expansion for the South Korean-born bakery chain, which aims to have 1,000 U.S. locations by 2030. As of early 2026, the company operates over 280 stores across the United States. This growth is supported by a significant investment in Texas. Paris Baguette has broken ground on its first North American manufacturing facility in Burleson, a $160 million project expected to create 450 jobs and begin production in 2027. The brand's roots trace back to the SPC Group, a South Korean food and confectionery conglomerate that started as a small bakery in 1945. The first Paris Baguette opened in Seoul in 1988, and the chain has since grown to over 4,000 locations worldwide. Franchisees are central to the U.S. expansion strategy. Becoming a Paris Baguette franchisee requires a substantial investment, with initial costs ranging from approximately $718,000 to $1.8 million and a minimum liquid capital of $500,000. Franchisees also pay ongoing royalty and marketing fees. While the name evokes classic French bakeries, the menu often features unique, Asian-inspired twists on pastries, breads, and cakes. Signature items include a variety of fresh cream and chiffon cakes, mochi donuts, and roll cakes, alongside classic croissants, pastries, and savory items.
