Paris Baguette Opens New Richardson, TX Location

The bakery café chain Paris Baguette opened a new location in Richardson, Texas, on February 27. The opening is part of an ongoing U.S. expansion for the brand, which has over 4,000 units worldwide. The new café is located on Campbell Road and is operated by a group of four local franchisees.

The new Richardson café is part of an aggressive North American expansion for Paris Baguette, which aims to reach 1,000 U.S. locations by 2030. The South Korea-based company, with over 4,000 stores globally, has seen rapid growth in the U.S. market, with plans for 150 new openings in North America this year alone. This marks the 25th Paris Baguette location in Texas. The franchisees for the Richardson store are Sweta Goyal, Puneet Mittal, Mamta Singhal, and Rajneesh Singhal, two local couples who signed a five-unit development agreement. Their new café is located at 7615 Campbell Rd., Suite 106. To support its ambitious growth in the region, Paris Baguette's parent company, SPC Group, is investing $160 million to build its first North American manufacturing plant in Burleson, Texas. The 260,000-square-foot facility is expected to create 450 jobs and begin production in 2027, supplying the growing number of bakery cafés. Though its name evokes the French capital, Paris Baguette was founded in Seoul, South Korea, in 1988. The brand is a subsidiary of the global food and confectionery conglomerate SPC Group, which originated from a small bakery called Sangmidang in 1945. Customers at the new location can expect a wide array of French-inspired goods baked fresh daily. The menu typically features signature items like the Strawberry Soft Cream Cake, various croissants, savory pastries such as the Crab Meat Croquette, and a selection of breads, sandwiches, and specialty coffee drinks.
