WorkOS Raises $100M, Hits $2B Valuation

WorkOS, a developer of infrastructure APIs for enterprise software, has raised a $100M Series C at a $2B valuation. The funding validates the strong investor demand for modular, API-driven platforms that help developers quickly add features like compliance and workflow automation. The round signals that for enterprise software, extensibility and developer experience are now key differentiators.

The Series C round was led by Meritech Capital and Sapphire Ventures, with participation from other investors including Audacious Ventures, Craft Ventures, Abstract Ventures, and Greenoaks. This new capital follows an $80M Series B in June 2022, bringing the company's total funding to approximately $199 million since its founding. Founder Michael Grinich previously co-founded the email API startup Nylas, where he experienced the challenge of making a product "enterprise-ready" firsthand.
