TECNO Unveiling AI-Powered Phones
TECNO is set to unveil its new flagship CAMON 50 smartphone series at MWC 2026 in Barcelona. The launch will focus on the phone family's imaging capabilities and a broader ecosystem of AI-driven products.
TECNO's presence at Mobile World Congress has steadily grown since its debut in 2023, where it launched its first foldable smartphone, the PHANTOM V Fold. The company often uses the Barcelona event to showcase not only commercial products but also futuristic concept devices, such as its ultra-thin SPARK Slim and a tri-fold smartphone prototype. The CAMON line has long been TECNO's camera-centric series, previously introducing features like a 50MP main camera with Sensor-Shift OIS stabilization and 108MP ultra-wide lenses. For the CAMON 50, the company will pair Sony hardware with a dedicated AI computing architecture to power new features like "Super-Zoom FlashSnap" for high-speed captures and "AI Auto Zoom" for intelligent subject framing. The broader AI ecosystem is a key part of TECNO's strategy, which it terms "Practical AI." This ecosystem includes MEGABOOK laptops, AI-enhanced smartwatches, and even a robotic dog named Dynamic 1. The company's AI assistant, Ella, processed over 500 million user requests in 2025, with 100 million of those being image-processing tasks. A major highlight at the MWC 2026 launch will be the official debut of a partnership with Tonino Lamborghini. The collaboration will feature a line of co-created devices, including a Tonino Lamborghini edition of a gaming mini-PC and a limited-edition POVA smartphone.
