Kyndryl launches Cyber Defense Operations Center
Enterprise technology services provider Kyndryl has launched its first Cyber Defense Operations Center in India. The new command hub is designed to unify network and security operations for enterprise clients. The company stated the center aims to improve cyber resilience, accelerate incident response, and strengthen regulatory compliance.
- The new Bengaluru center integrates with Kyndryl Bridge, the company's AI-powered open-integration platform, providing a single operational view of network and security data across its global operations centers. - This facility is a key component of Kyndryl's broader "cyber resilience" strategy, which moves beyond traditional cybersecurity by integrating it with business continuity and disaster recovery to reduce financial and reputational damages from attacks. - Kyndryl's Security and Resiliency practice is led by Kris Lovejoy, who was previously the global consulting cybersecurity leader at EY and the founder and CEO of BluVector, an AI-powered threat detection platform acquired by Comcast in 2019. - The center utilizes an "Agentic AI Framework" embedded in its assessment services to evaluate customer environments and identify security gaps, which creates a data-driven roadmap for remediation and modernization. - This launch follows Kyndryl's recent expansion of its partnership with Palo Alto Networks to deliver managed Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) services, aimed at helping enterprises adopt cloud-first, zero-trust security models. - Looking at future threats, Kyndryl has introduced a Quantum Safe Assessment service to prepare firms for "Harvest now, decrypt later" attacks, where encrypted data is stolen today for future decryption by quantum computers. - The quantum assessment helps clients create a Cryptographic Bill of Materials (CBOM) to identify systems vulnerable to quantum threats and build a roadmap for migrating to post-quantum cryptography (PQC). - Earlier in February 2026, Kyndryl launched its Intelligent Recovery Service, a cloud-based solution using AI and automation to accelerate the restoration of critical systems after an outage and to support evolving regulatory compliance mandates.
