Hurtado BBQ Gets Dallas Praise
Hurtado Barbecue in Dallas received high praise from a first-time visitor TyDMNT5. Fine dining at Treasures of Ikoro in Kigali, Rwanda, features Rwandan flavors explored by Hélène and Bénie visitrwanda_now.
Hurtado Barbecue, which blends Central Texas BBQ with a Tex-Mex twist, started as a pop-up in 2018, serving brewery-goers in North Texas. By 2019, Brandon Hurtado and his wife Hannah had a food truck in Arlington, which quickly led to expanded hours due to its popularity. The restaurant's success led to a brick-and-mortar location in Arlington in February 2020, just before the pandemic. Hurtado's experience in digital marketing helped the restaurant thrive with online ordering, deliveries, and curbside pickup during that challenging time. Hurtado Barbecue expanded to the Dallas Farmers Market in early 2025, offering brunch on weekends and catering options. Signature items include birria tacos made with smoked brisket and the El Jefe Platter, a sampler with various meats and sides.
