Credit One Bank Launches Podcast

Credit One Bank has launched a thought-leadership podcast series in partnership with Jim Marous, host of the Banking Transformed podcast. The new series was announced on February 20, ahead of Credit Education Month, and focuses on serving often-overlooked customers.

- Jim Marous is an internationally recognized financial industry strategist and has been named one of the top five most influential people in banking. He is also the co-publisher of The Financial Brand, a news and analysis website for the banking industry. - The "Banking Transformed" podcast, hosted by Marous, is considered the number one podcast in the banking world, with over 300,000 listens annually. It focuses on the impact of digital disruption and leadership challenges within the financial industry. - Credit One Bank primarily serves customers with credit scores below 660, a demographic often referred to as "non-prime" or "sub-prime." This includes individuals with limited or poor credit histories. - Despite targeting the non-prime market, the average income for a Credit One Bank customer is approximately $65,000, which is slightly above the national average. - Founded in 1984 as First National Bank of Marin in California, the company relocated to Las Vegas in 1998 and was renamed Credit One Bank in 2006. It is owned by Sherman Financial Group. - While their logos are similar, Credit One Bank is not affiliated with Capital One. Credit One adopted its "swoosh" logo before Capital One underwent a similar rebranding. - In addition to credit cards, Credit One Bank also offers high-yield savings accounts and certificates of deposit (CDs). - Credit One is a major sponsor in sports, serving as an official partner of the Las Vegas Raiders, the Vegas Golden Knights, and NASCAR. The bank also holds the naming rights to the Credit One Stadium in Charleston, South Carolina, which hosts a WTA tennis tournament.
