Thomas Bangalter will co-host an Art Basel event in June, putting a Daft Punk founder inside one of the art market’s biggest weeks. (edm.com) The project is called *Warehouse Artefacts* and is set for June 20, 2026 at Messe Basel in Switzerland. Bangalter is billed alongside Keinemusik’s Rampa and Berlin-based visual artist Julian Charrière. (edm.com) The event is being presented by art.klub, produced by Nordstern Basel, and developed in cooperation with Art Basel and Fondation Beyeler. It is scheduled for Hall 1.1 South, with Rampa set to play from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. and a special guest still unannounced. (edm.com) Art Basel’s main fair runs June 18 to 21, 2026 at Messe Basel, where more than 250 galleries are expected to show work by more than 4,000 artists. That makes June 20 the middle of the fair’s busiest public stretch, when collectors, curators, artists and nightlife operators are all in town. (mqbasel.ch) (basel.com) The fair already mixes booths with large installations, films, photography and live performance. Art Unlimited has presented large-scale works and performances since 1999, while Parcours spreads site-specific projects through the city during the same week. (basel.com) (artbasel.com) That context helps explain why *Warehouse Artefacts* is being framed less like a club night than a hybrid production inside the fair’s orbit. Charrière’s work is rooted in installation and environmental themes, and the organizers are positioning music and visual art on the same bill. (edm.com) For Bangalter, the booking extends a selective post-Daft Punk public run after the duo split in 2021. EDM.com reported that he has made only a handful of appearances since, including recent performances with Fred again.. in Paris and London. (edm.com) For Art Basel, it adds another event that uses the fair as more than a marketplace, turning Messe Basel into a venue for installations, performance and nightlife during the same week. On June 20, one of electronic music’s most closely watched figures will be part of that mix. (mqbasel.ch) (edm.com)
