Free SXSW Shows: Peck & Lumineers

Rivian is the headline sponsor for SXSW 2026 and will be showcasing its new R2 vehicle. The R2 will be on display from March 13-18 at Rivian's "Electric Roadhouse" at 208 S. Congress Ave. The Lumineers' performance on March 16 at Moody Amphitheater will serve as a family-friendly showcase to launch Rivian's latest electric SUV, the R2. Orville Peck will perform at Rivian's pop-up stage at 800 Congress on March 14. Rivian will also offer R2 "Electric Joyrides" on a custom off-road course at 800 Congress, allowing SXSW attendees to experience the vehicle's capabilities as passengers. Expert drivers will navigate the R2 through challenging terrain. RJ Scaringe, Rivian's CEO, and Mark Rober, a YouTuber, will host an interactive challenge called "Are You Faster than a Robot?" on March 13, kicking off a new partnership between Rivian and Rober's CrunchLabs. The Electric Roadhouse will also feature panels, live music from local bands curated by KUTX, a hospitality lounge, and giveaways.
