New Edition Extends Tour
New Edition has extended their blockbuster "The Way" arena tour, adding six new dates and bringing Boyz II Men and Toni Braxton along for the ride. This expanded tour promises a multi-generational R&B experience, spotlighting some of the genre's most iconic voices. The tour extension reflects strong demand for classic R&B acts in the live music market.
This tour's expansion follows New Edition's massively successful 30-city "The Culture Tour" in 2022, which was also promoted by the Black Promoters Collective and featured Charlie Wilson and Jodeci. That tour demonstrated a strong market for legacy R&B acts, consistently selling out arenas and re-establishing New Edition as a major live draw. The "New Edition Way Tour" was initially announced as a 30-city arena outing that kicked off on January 28, 2026, at the Oakland Arena. The six new dates include a second show in Atlanta, as well as stops in Columbia, SC, Tampa, FL, Sunrise, FL, Louisville, KY, and a return to Brooklyn, NY. The tour's name is a tribute to a street in their Boston hometown being renamed "New Edition Way" to honor their cultural impact. This tour is a powerhouse of 90s R&B, uniting three of the era's most definitive acts. Boyz II Men, known for their record-breaking ballads, have enjoyed a successful and long-running residency at The Mirage in Las Vegas. Toni Braxton's last major outing was the "As Long As I Live Tour" in 2019, which supported her album "Sex & Cigarettes." The Black Promoters Collective (BPC), which is backing the tour, has quickly become a major force in the live music industry. The collective has found great success in marketing tours to a dedicated R&B fanbase, as evidenced by the sold-out shows in the initial leg of the "New Edition Way Tour." The tour is currently ranked at No. 6 on Pollstar's Live 75 chart, which tracks active tours based on average ticket sales. This high ranking reflects the strong and sustained demand for live R&B from iconic artists. Adding to their momentous year, New Edition was recently announced as a nominee for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. As of early March 2026, they were second in the fan vote, indicating a strong wave of public support.
