Tamil Action Film 'Kara' Sets April Release

*Kara* marks the 54th film for its lead actor, Dhanush. The movie's first-look poster, which features an intense-looking Dhanush, carries the tagline: "Sometimes, staying dangerous is the only way to stay alive." The film is described by its director as an "emotionally rooted suspense thriller." This film is director Vignesh Raja's second feature. His directorial debut, *Por Thozhil* (2023), was a critically acclaimed investigative thriller. For *Kara*, Raja has reunited with writer Alfred Prakash, who also co-wrote *Por Thozhil*. The supporting cast includes Mamitha Baiju as the female lead, alongside K. S. Ravikumar, Jayaram, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Karunas, and Prithvi Pandiraj in significant roles. The technical crew features National Award-winning composer GV Prakash Kumar, cinematographer Theni Eswar, and editor Sreejith Sarang. The film is produced by Ishari K. Ganesh under the Vels Film International banner. The production house has a slate of films scheduled for release between 2025 and 2027, including projects with other prominent directors like Vetrimaaran and Gautham Vasudev Menon. The streaming rights for *Kara* have been secured by Netflix.
