Swae Lee Returns After 6 Years
Swae Lee dropped "Flammable," his first solo single in six years, teasing an upcoming solo album and marking a much-anticipated comeback for the Rae Sremmurd star. The track signals his return to solo work after focusing on the duo for years.
While "Flammable" is his first solo single in years, Swae Lee's last solo project, *Swaecation*, was released in 2018. It was part of *SR3MM*, a triple-disc album from Rae Sremmurd that also included a group album and a solo project from his brother, Slim Jxmmi. The upcoming album, titled *Same Difference*, is set for an April 2026 release and is being presented as his official debut solo LP. The project has been in the works since at least 2020, when it was tentatively titled *Human Nature*. In the years between solo releases, Swae Lee has achieved massive success as a featured artist. His collaboration with Post Malone, "Sunflower," topped the Billboard Hot 100 and became the first song in RIAA history to be certified double diamond (20x platinum). He also earned a diamond certification for his feature on French Montana's "Unforgettable." During his solo hiatus, Rae Sremmurd also made a return. The duo, with his brother Slim Jxmmi, released their fourth studio album, *Sremm 4 Life*, on April 7, 2023, which was their first full-length project in five years. The new track "Flammable" was produced by David Morse and Rosen Beatz. Its accompanying music video, directed by Logan Meis, features Swae Lee with a flamethrower at a bayou party, reflecting his Mississippi roots.
