Hannah Green Ends Winless Streak
Hannah Green broke a 497-day winless streak by securing her seventh career victory at the HSBC Women's World Championship in Singapore. In a feel-good story, Green's husband, pro golfer Jarryd Felton, served as her caddie for the win, propelling Green past $8 million in career earnings.
Hannah Green’s victory at the HSBC Women's World Championship was her second at the event, having also claimed the title in 2024. This win marked her seventh career LPGA Tour victory and her first since the 2024 season. The win was a close one, with Green finishing at 14-under par to win by a single stroke. The Australian golfer entered the final round tied for the lead with fellow countrywoman and three-time major champion, Minjee Lee. Green shot a final-round 69, which included an eagle on the par-5 eighth hole and a crucial birdie on the 15th. Despite a shaky finish with bogeys on the final two holes, she had built enough of a lead to secure the win over a charging Auston Kim of the United States. This victory ended a significant winless period for Green, with her last triumph coming at the BMW Ladies Championship in October 2024. Her husband, Jarryd Felton, is also a professional golfer with wins on the PGA Tour of Australasia, including the 2017 NZ PGA Championship and the 2015 NSW PGA Championship. This was the second time in 2026 he had caddied for his wife. The tournament, often dubbed "Asia's Major," featured a strong field with 21 of the top 25 players in the Rolex Rankings competing. The victory earned Green a winner's check of $450,000 from the $3 million purse. The win is expected to provide a significant boost to her world ranking and standings for the season.
