Two Eateries Expand in Los Angeles

The Los Angeles restaurant scene continues to grow with two new expansions. Gott’s Roadside Stand, a popular Napa Valley eatery, has opened its first L.A. location at the Original Farmers Market. Meanwhile, smash burger restaurant Chris N’ Eddy’s will open two new outposts in Glendale and Van Nuys.

- Gott's Roadside was founded in 1999 by brothers Joel and Duncan Gott in St. Helena, Napa Valley, when they took over a 50-year-old burger stand called Taylor's Refresher. After a trademark dispute, it was renamed Gott's Roadside in 2010. - The brand is known for its slightly upscale take on American roadside classics, using locally sourced ingredients and offering California wines and microbrewed beers. Its menu includes Niman Ranch hot dogs, beer-battered Baja fish tacos, and a kimchi burger with gochujang mayo. - The new location at The Original Farmers Market is Gott's first in Southern California, with a second planned for Santa Monica in the fall of 2026. The company has eight other locations in the Bay Area, including at the San Francisco Ferry Building and Chase Center. - Chris N' Eddy's was started by childhood friends Chris Karimian and Edgar Poghosyan, who developed their concept out of a love for White Castle sliders and the trending smash burger cooking style. They are considered the first and original "smash slider" concept in Los Angeles. - The business began as a pop-up in a parking lot during the early part of the pandemic and gained a following for its simple menu and late-night hours at its Hollywood location on Sunset Blvd. - The new Van Nuys outpost will be located at 14523 Sherman Way in a former Menchie's frozen yogurt shop. The menu focuses on single and double sliders, "Chris-Cut Fries," and "Eddy's Tots."
