Cyber Startup Reclaim Security Raises $26M
Cybersecurity startup Reclaim Security just raised $26 million to tackle the '27-day remediation gap' in digital infrastructure. The company uses agentic AI to move from reactive patching to proactive defense, signaling a growing emphasis on security in both system design and engineering.
Reclaim Security's funding round was led by Acrew Capital, with additional investment from QP Ventures and Ibex Investors. The company, founded in 2024, has now raised a total of $26 million. The new capital is designated for expanding its engineering team and accelerating its go-to-market strategies in North America and Europe. The "27-day remediation gap" highlights a critical disparity in cybersecurity: while attackers can now compromise systems in as little as 27 seconds, it takes organizations an average of 27 days to patch critical vulnerabilities. This delay is often due to the manual and operationally risky nature of fixing security flaws, which can lead to a significant backlog of unresolved issues. Reclaim Security was co-founded by CEO Barak Klinghofer, who previously sold the company Hexadite to Microsoft, and Chief Product Officer Roy Peretz, who sold WhiteBox Security. The company employs around 30 people, with the majority of its team, 25 employees, based in Israel. The company's core technology is an AI-powered simulation engine called PIPE™ (Productivity Impact Prediction Engine). Before deploying any security patches, this engine models the potential operational and business impacts, such as effects on applications, user productivity, and business processes, to avoid disruptions. This "simulation-first" approach aims to reduce remediation timelines from weeks down to just minutes. Agentic AI, the technology at the heart of Reclaim's platform, represents a shift from traditional AI in cybersecurity. Instead of simply identifying threats, agentic AI systems can autonomously plan, make decisions, and execute multi-step actions to remediate issues without constant human oversight. This allows security teams to move from a reactive to a proactive posture. Early customers of Reclaim Security, spanning financial services, healthcare, and government, have reported an 80% increase in threat resilience and a 90% reduction in manual effort for resolving critical exposures. The company plans to showcase its platform at the upcoming RSA Conference 2026 Early Stage Expo.
