TECNO to Unveil AI-Powered Phones

TECNO is set to unveil its new flagship CAMON 50 smartphone series at MWC 2026 in Barcelona. The new lineup will feature a heavy focus on imaging and AI capabilities. The company will also debut a broader ecosystem of AI-integrated products at the event.

This move builds on TECNO's consistent focus at MWC, where in 2025 it also launched an AI-focused lineup under the theme “Create the AI Future". That event saw the debut of the CAMON 40 Series, AI-powered smart glasses, and the MEGABOOK S14 laptop. The CAMON series has been TECNO's camera-centric line since its debut in 2015, created to offer better low-light performance and imaging on budget-friendly phones. Over the years, it has evolved by integrating computational photography, adding features like AI Beautification, Super Night Mode, and Eye-Tracking Autofocus to its devices. The new flagship's AI capabilities are powered by a dedicated AI processor and synced with Sony camera hardware. Announced features include "Super-Zoom FlashSnap" for high-speed action shots with no shutter lag and "AI Auto Zoom" that intelligently frames subjects. The phone also serves as a creative hub with an AI Art Gallery and a productivity tool called One-Tap FlashMemo. This launch is part of the company's "Practical AI" framework, a strategy introduced in 2024 to bring useful AI applications to emerging markets. In 2025, TECNO's AI platform processed over 500 million user requests, with a focus on localization for languages like Hausa, Swahili, and various Arabic dialects. Alongside the CAMON 50, TECNO is expanding its "OneLeap" ecosystem of interconnected devices. The broader AI-driven portfolio includes AI-enhanced smart wearables and the MEGABOOK laptop portfolio. In a new strategic partnership, TECNO is also collaborating with Tonino Lamborghini. The two brands are set to release a co-created lineup of devices, including a gaming mini-PC and a limited edition POVA smartphone. Looking beyond current products, TECNO is also showcasing future concepts at MWC 2026. One key demonstration is a modular smartphone that uses magnetic attachments, allowing users to physically expand hardware with modules for professional photography, gaming, or extended battery life.
