Arizona Clinches Big 12 Title
No. 2 ranked Arizona clinched the Big 12 regular-season title with a key win over Iowa State. The Wildcats' dominant run solidifies their status as a top contender heading into the conference tournament.
This marks the Wildcats' first-ever Big 12 regular-season title, accomplishing the feat in just their second season since joining the conference in 2024. The victory is coach Tommy Lloyd's third conference regular season title in five years at the helm. The title-clinching 73-57 victory over No. 6 Iowa State was fueled by a standout performance from senior guard Jaden Bradley, who posted 17 points in his final game at the McKale Center. Junior center Motiejus Krivas added 13 points, making crucial plays on both offense and defense. The win improved Arizona's dominant season record to 28-2 overall and 15-2 in the challenging Big 12 conference. This championship represents the 41st conference title in the program's storied history. With the regular season crown secured, the Wildcats now turn their attention to the postseason. They have locked up the No. 1 seed and a double-bye in the upcoming Phillips 66 Big 12 Tournament. The conference tournament is set to take place at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri, from March 10-14. Arizona will begin its tournament run in the quarterfinals on Thursday, March 12.
