Poison The Well returns
Post-hardcore veterans Poison The Well released a new album, Peace In Place, and early reviews praise its mix of aggression and melody — a notable comeback moment for the band. Critics are flagging it as a meaningful evolution rather than a nostalgia cash-in (thesoundboardreviews.com).
Peace In Place arrived March 20, 2026 via SharpTone Records as a 10-track full-length and is being issued in physical formats including vinyl and CD. ( poisonthewell.com ) ( discogs.com ) The sessions were helmed by GRAMMY-winning producer Will Putney and were tracked at Putney’s studio across 2025, a collaboration the band says helped focus arrangements and performances. ( wallofsoundau.com ) ( rockdmagazine.com ) The band previewed the comeback with the 2025 single “Trembling Level” (released Jan. 29, 2025) and followed the album announcement with the single and video for “Thoroughbreds” during the March campaign. ( consequence.net ) ( v13.net ) Press response has been concrete: Kerrang! rated the album 4/5 and noted its 10-track, ~36-minute running time, Wall of Sound gave it 9.5/10, and Distorted Sound called it “a great album” while multiple outlets highlighted Putney’s role in the record’s sound. Lauderdale, Tampa and Winter Park with support from Contention and Domain (tickets listed at about $25 for the Florida dates). ( metalinjection.net ) ( rockdmagazine.com )
