Disney Makes Leadership Changes
Thomas Mazloum is the new chairman of Disney's Experiences division, overseeing all parks, resorts, and cruise lines reported. He was previously Disneyland Resort President.
Mazloum's promotion follows Josh D'Amaro's departure from the role of Chairman of Disney Experiences. D'Amaro is reportedly leaving to pursue other opportunities within the company. During his tenure as Disneyland Resort President, Mazloum oversaw the expansion of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and the reimagining of several classic attractions. His experience with large-scale projects and guest experience enhancements likely played a role in his selection for this leadership position. One immediate challenge for Mazloum will be addressing staffing and operational efficiencies across Disney's theme parks, particularly in light of increasing labor costs and the need to maintain high guest satisfaction. United Parks & Resorts and other competitors will be closely watching his strategies in this area.
