Bacchus Group to Open Augustine in Santana Row
Bacchus Management Group will open a new high-end restaurant named Augustine in Santana Row. The group is known for running several Michelin-starred restaurants, including The Village Pub in Woodside.
- Augustine is a 7,000-square-foot restaurant in San Jose's Santana Row serving California cuisine with French and Italian influences, under the direction of executive chef Mark Sullivan. - The restaurant, which opened in March 2025, is located in the former Sino restaurant space and includes a large patio, a separate lounge, and three private dining rooms. - In addition to the main restaurant, the location also features Café Augustine, which serves house-made pastries, sandwiches, and coffee for a more casual experience. - Bacchus Management Group operates a private five-acre organic farm in the hills above Woodside that supplies its restaurants with local, sustainable, and organic ingredients. - The group's other Michelin-starred restaurants include Selby's in Atherton and Spruce in San Francisco. - Bacchus has been expanding, opening three other establishments in San Francisco's Potrero Hill neighborhood in 2023: an Italian restaurant, a doughnut shop, and a burger spot. - Augustine also features a hidden, speakeasy-style room with its own bar that is primarily used for private events. - The restaurant is part of a wave of new openings at Santana Row, which includes a Mexico City-style taqueria and several new retail stores.
