FuriosaAI and Helikai Partner on Enterprise AI
AI chip company FuriosaAI and Helikai have partnered to deliver a secure, production-ready AI automation stack. The collaboration aims to serve regulated industries by combining hardware and software for enterprise-grade AI solutions.
The partnership targets a critical gap for enterprises in regulated sectors like finance and healthcare: deploying powerful AI without compromising data security. These industries require strict compliance and auditable outcomes, making on-premises, secure hardware and specialized AI agents a necessity for automating complex workflows like claims processing or contract analysis. FuriosaAI, a Seoul-based startup founded in 2017, brings the high-performance hardware to the table. The company, which previously turned down an $800 million acquisition offer from Meta, is now preparing for an IPO targeted for 2027. FuriosaAI has raised a total of $246 million to fund the development of its AI accelerator chips. The collaboration will run on FuriosaAI's next-generation "RNGD" (Renegade) inference servers. This follows their first-generation "WARBOY" chip, which already outperformed the NVIDIA A2 in vision tasks on the MLPerf benchmark. A server with eight RNGD accelerator cards can deliver 4 petaFLOPS of computing power. Helikai, founded by industry veterans Ross Fujii and Jamie Lerner, provides the specialized software layer. Their "Helibots" are small, purpose-built "Micro-AI agents" designed for specific, precision-critical tasks within industries like legal services, life sciences, and insurance. Helikai's platform offers a full stack for creating these deterministic AI agents, including secure data retrieval, logical reasoning workflows, and performance optimization. This allows for the creation of auditable AI solutions that can handle multi-step processes securely within a company's own data centers. This integrated hardware and software stack provides a "plug-and-play" experience for enterprises that need to maintain full control over sensitive data and AI model execution. By combining FuriosaAI's power-efficient silicon with Helikai's domain-specific agents, the partnership aims to deliver a scalable, private automation solution that doesn't sacrifice processing speed.
