Fauda Season 5 trailer released

Netflix and the producers of “Fauda” released the Season 5 trailer on Tuesday, September 8, putting the Israeli thriller’s new season into worldwide rollout the same day. The trailer and Netflix’s official season materials frame the new episodes around the aftermath of October 7, 2023, with Doron Kabilio pulled back into the field as a revenge mission spirals into a larger security threat. Netflix’s Tudum site said the season arrives globally on September 8, while the official trailer was posted to YouTube as part of the launch. The new footage makes clear that Season 5 is not picking up where the show originally planned. Co-creators Avi Issacharoff and Lior Raz told Tudum they began writing after Season 4 reached Netflix in January 2023, then changed course after October 7. Issacharoff said a series dealing with reality in Israel and the Middle East “cannot disconnect itself” from that event, while Raz said the aim was not to recreate events directly but to place the show’s characters inside that reality. (netflix.com) ### What does the trailer say the new season is about? Season 5 takes place two years after October 7, 2023, according to Netflix’s official synopsis. Tudum said Doron is drawn into “a perilous deep-cover operation” after an old friend launches an unsanctioned revenge mission in Marseille, France. The material released by Netflix and yes describes a story driven by revenge, trauma and an attempt to stop a major attack. (netflix.com) Avi Issacharoff told Tudum that one word emerged as a defining idea for the season: “tha’r,” which he described as blood revenge. A yes page for behind-the-scenes material uses the same term, saying the fifth season is driven by “נקמת דם,” or blood revenge, that pulls Eli, Doron and Steve into a revenge mission that exposes a broader plot. ### How directly does Season 5 deal with October 7? (netflix.com) Netflix’s official season page says the new episodes place the characters in a story shaped by the aftermath of October 7 rather than ignoring it. Raz told Tudum that Doron appears early in the season trying to deal with PTSD and meeting a therapist, before events pull him back into action. The Jerusalem Post reported in August that two episodes in the season are devoted to the October 7 massacre and that the season had already aired in Israel on yes starting in May. (netflix.com) The paper said those episodes were shown in Israel with warnings because of graphic violence. ### Who is in the new footage? Lior Raz returns as Doron, and Netflix’s official materials also reference returning team members and new cast additions. (netflix.com) The Jerusalem Post’s report on the global release highlighted a scene image featuring Raz with Melanie Laurent and Yaakov Zada-Daniel, pointing to new and returning faces in the season’s campaign. A yes page listing the cast also includes Itzik Cohen, Moran Rosenblatt, Neta Garty, Doron Ben-David, Yaakov Zada-Daniel and Melanie Laurent. (jpost.com) ### Where was the trailer released, and where is the season available? YouTube carried an official “Fauda Season 5 – Official Trailer Netflix 2026” posting on September 8 as the season launched. Netflix’s Tudum page says the season is available worldwide from September 8. The Jerusalem Post said viewers in 190 countries would be able to watch the new season on Netflix, with episodes in Arabic, Hebrew, French and English and subtitles in local languages. (jpost.com) A recent guide cited by search results says the season runs 11 episodes. ### What happens next for viewers? September 8 is both the trailer date and the global Netflix launch date for Season 5, according to Netflix’s official materials. (youtube.com) Viewers can now watch the full season on Netflix, while yes continues to host related “Fauda” pages and behind-the-scenes material tied to the Israel run. (netflix.com) (jpost.com)
