RedCloud Deploys AI For Global Trade

Global trade tech company RedCloud announced it has surpassed 100,000 customers and activated an 'agentic AI' layer across its network. The AI is intended to create more intelligent infrastructure for retailers, wholesalers, and distributors in global trade markets.

RedCloud's platform is engineered to solve what it views as a core problem: global trade running on outdated, fragmented systems and manual guesswork. The company's mission, led by co-founder and CEO Justin Floyd, is to create an "intelligence infrastructure" for the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry, replacing these legacy issues with predictive intelligence. The "agentic AI" layer moves beyond simple analytics by embedding intelligent agents directly into the transaction layer of trade. This allows for autonomous decision-making and optimization of inventory, working capital, and demand forecasting across its network. The goal is to create a system that doesn't just provide suggestions but can execute actions like sourcing alternative suppliers or rerouting shipments without human intervention. Founded in 2014, the London-based company has built a B2B open commerce platform combining a marketplace with digital payments and marketing intelligence. To date, the platform has processed over $6.9 billion in FMCG trade value and supports more than 6,700 brands. RedCloud's growth strategy focuses heavily on emerging markets, aiming to connect brands, distributors, and local retailers who have been underserved by traditional supply chain and financial systems. The company targets what it estimates is a $2 trillion annual loss in global supply chains due to waste and inefficiency. Financially, RedCloud has been on an aggressive growth trajectory, targeting $100 million in revenue for 2026 after a projected $51-53 million in 2025. The company completed its IPO on Nasdaq in March 2025 and recently secured $13.5 million in a private placement to fuel further AI development and platform expansion.
