TECNO Unveils AI-Powered Phones at MWC
At MWC 2026 in Barcelona, TECNO is set to unveil its new CAMON 50 Series of smartphones. The launch will focus on a suite of AI-driven innovations, including the company's broader AI product ecosystem.
This year's mobile imaging focus builds on TECNO's established presence at MWC, where the company debuted in 2023 with its first foldable smartphone, the PHANTOM V Fold. Last year, at MWC 2025, the company launched the CAMON 40 series, emphasizing its strategy of bringing practical AI to its product ecosystem. The CAMON line has consistently been TECNO's platform for camera innovation, often featuring high-resolution sensors and advanced stabilization technologies aimed at the mid-range market. The new CAMON 50 series elevates this by pairing flagship Sony camera hardware with a dedicated AI computing architecture for the first time. New AI-driven camera features include "Super-Zoom FlashSnap" for capturing high-speed action without shutter lag and "AI Auto Zoom," which intelligently frames subjects. Beyond photography, the phone will act as a creative hub with an "AI Art Gallery" for transforming photos and a productivity tool called "One-Tap FlashMemo". A significant announcement alongside the new phones is a strategic partnership with Tonino Lamborghini. The collaboration will result in a co-created lineup of devices, including a gaming mini-PC and a limited edition POVA smartphone, fusing TECNO's technology with the iconic design language of the Italian brand. The new devices are part of TECNO's broader "Practical AI" framework, which focuses on delivering useful and accessible AI tools to emerging markets. The company has been investing heavily in language and cultural localization for its Ella AI assistant, which processed over 500 million user requests in 2025.
