Ratave signs on till 2027

Benetton Rugby extended Fijian winger Onisi Ratave’s contract through 2027 — a move the club is billing as a major boost after his dominant season (x.com) (x.com).

Benetton published the contract update on 25 March 2026, confirming Ratave’s deal now runs until 30 June 2027. (benettonrugby.it) The club’s announcement lists Ratave’s Benetton totals as 42 appearances and 23 tries since his 2022 arrival, broken down as 12 tries in the URC and 11 in the Challenge Cup. (benettonrugby.it) Benetton’s match report shows Ratave scored two tries in the Monigo victory over the Ospreys in the URC (match reported 22 March 2026), a performance he described as the result of team work in a BenTV interview. (benettonrugby.it) Club president Antonio Pavanello’s comment in the announcement singled out Ratave’s “intensity” and unique ability to break tackles and create forward momentum for the team. (benettonrugby.it) The Benetton profile notes Ratave is 179 cm and 100 kg, born in Rewa on 6 June 1992, and traces his path through Namosi, Bay of Plenty (three NPC appearances), and the Fijian Drua (ten appearances, six tries) before joining Benetton in 2022. (benettonrugby.it) This extension is an additional one-season prolongation on top of a previous Benetton renewal announced 5 March 2024 that tied Ratave to the club through 30 June 2026.
