LG Previews AI-Powered Home Appliances
LG Electronics is presenting its latest premium home solutions, including new AI-powered appliances, at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) 2026. The new products are part of an expanded LG SIGNATURE and SKS lineup aimed at strengthening the company's North American B2B appliance strategy.
- The LG SIGNATURE line, now in its tenth year, is expanding to include three distinct design collections: Iconic, Tailored, and Seamless, each intended to cater to different regional lifestyle and interior design trends. - A key part of LG's strategy is the ThinQ Pro platform, a new B2B solution designed for builders and property managers to centralize the management of appliances across residential properties. - The new SKS kitchen lineup includes a 36-inch Integrated Column Freezer and Refrigerator that uses AI to optimize cooling and ice production based on usage patterns. - LG's AI is powered by its proprietary "AI Core-Tech," which enables appliances to learn from user routines to optimize performance in areas like cooling cycles and wash programs. - For laundry, the new SKS WashCombo™ unit features AI Wash & Dry with AI DD™ technology to precisely care for fabrics, while a Dual Inverter Heat Pump provides energy-efficient, low-temperature drying. - The company's ThinQ UP 2.0 platform allows for the addition of new software features and subscription services to existing appliances over time, enabled by a proprietary DQ-C chip. - To support its North American B2B growth, LG has recently partnered with CSC ServiceWorks, the largest laundry solutions corporation in North America, to supply commercial washing machines. - Some new refrigerators will feature "Zero Clearance" hinges, allowing them to be installed flush against a wall without impeding the full opening of the doors, maximizing space.
