Boundary Rooftop in Shoreditch has rolled out a summer menu built around Southern European dishes and seasonal ingredients. (boundary.london) The new lineup includes small plates such as calamari with chilli, lime and chermoula mayonnaise, king prawns with garlic and white wine, and grilled skewers with vegetables, halloumi and tzatziki. Large plates include bavette steak with tomato salad and fries, chicken Milanese with rocket and lemon, Greek salad, and a 35-day salt-aged T-bone steak for sharing. (boundary.london) Desserts on the current rooftop menu include mango semifreddo with coconut and lime and tiramisu with mascarpone, savoiardi and whisky. Boundary says the menu is rooted in “peak-season ingredients” and is meant to evoke Mediterranean summer dining. (boundary.london) The menu fits the format Boundary has been using on its rooftop: grilled meats and fish, simple salads, charcuterie and rosé served in the Glass Orangery and on the terrace. OpenTable’s current listing says the rooftop runs lunch daily from 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and dinner daily from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. (opentable.co.uk) Boundary’s own event page lists seasonal rooftop hours of Wednesday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m., while also noting the rooftop is an 18+ and cashless venue. The venue is at 2-4 Boundary Street in Shoreditch, in east London. (boundary.london) The rooftop has been pitching the summer setup as a terrace-style destination above the city, with an outdoor garden, a glass Orangery and views across East London. Coverage of last year’s summer launch described 360-degree views, 100-year-old olive trees and a menu centered on charcoal cooking. (hackneygazette.co.uk, london-tv.co.uk) That makes the latest rollout less of a one-off menu change than a seasonal reset for one of Shoreditch’s rooftop dining spaces. For diners, the clearest update is the current mix of seafood, grilled mains and summer desserts now being served on the roof. (boundary.london, opentable.co.uk)
