The event is considered the largest botanical fair in the region and features dozens of vendors and rare plants [https://theyucatantimes.com/2026/03/botanical-corridor-and-plant-bazaar-at-paseo-de-montejo-on-sunday-march-15].

The Plant Bazaar collective, considered the largest botanical group in Yucatán, organizes the Botanical Corridor, dedicating the event to plant sales and exhibitions. This particular iteration of the bazaar will occur at two locations: the Bici Ruta on Paseo de Montejo near the Fonacot building (8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) and the Centenario Zoo on Itzaes Avenue next to the library (9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.). The event aims to introduce people to the plant world and provide options for those seeking new species for their homes. Visitors can find a diverse selection, including cacti, succulents, orchids, carnivorous plants, and exotic species, alongside popular varieties like monsteras, philodendrons, and pothos. Paseo de Montejo, where one location is set, is inspired by European boulevards and symbolizes Mérida's economic prosperity during the henequen era, featuring restored French-style mansions, museums, boutique hotels, art galleries, and cafes. Every Sunday, a lane on Paseo de Montejo closes to car traffic for "La Biciruta," a biking event that is part of the larger Mérida en Domingo celebration.
