Ecotrail Paris this weekend
Ecotrail Paris runs its 19th edition March 21–22 with 18,500 participants across seven races and two Nordic walks, finishing at the Eiffel Tower. It’s become a major spring event for trail and urban runners looking for varied distances. (leparisien.fr)
Organizers added a new ultra this year: the Trail 120 km starts at the Château de Rambouillet and traverses the Vallée de Chevreuse before finishing on the Pont d’Iéna in Paris. (iledefrance.fr) The long-distance programme also puts the Trail 80 km off from the Colline d’Élancourt, the Trail 45 km departs from the gardens of the Château de Versailles, and the Trail 35 km runs from the Domaine national de Saint‑Cloud to the Observatoire de Paris‑PSL at Meudon. (ecotrailparis.com/course/trail-80-km) (actu.fr) (ecotrailparis.com/course/trail-35-km) The new 120 km route is listed on the organiser’s site at about 120.4 km with roughly 1,700–2,000 m of elevation gain and is presented as an ultra offering UTMB/ITRA qualification points. (ecotrailparis.com/course/trail-120-km) (itra.run) Mandatory kit rules require minimum hydration reserves (1.5 L cited for the longest race, 1 L on many shorter trails), a headlamp, survival blanket, mobile phone and identity document, with specific time penalties or disqualification for non‑compliance.
